Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. peaches (fresh or canned)
    2 sticks butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt (if desired)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/4 c. water or peach juice
Preparation
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
