Sour Cream Coffee Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar or 1/4 sugar substitute
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
6 Tbsp. softened butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 10-inch tube pan or 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Cream shortening and sugar until light; add vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda.
Add to creamed shortening mixture alternately with sour cream.
Place half of batter in pan.
Combine softened butter with the brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
Sprinkle the batter with about 1/2 this mixture.
Add remaining batter and top with rest of brown sugar mixture.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool cake in pan for 10 minutes before removing it.
