Mom'S Sour Cream Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pt. (1 c.) sour cream
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla thoroughly.
Add eggs, singly, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together.
Add to creamed mixture, alternately with sour cream, blending after each addition.
Spread half of the batter in a 10-inch tube pan that has been greased and lined on the bottom.
