Spiced Fruit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 orange
    1 (16 oz.) can pear halves, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can peach halves, drained
    1 (8 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
    3/4 c. orange juice
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (2-inch) stick cinnamon
    6 whole cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Grate and peel orange, reserving grated rind. Cut orange into 4 or 5 slices. Combine with rind, pears, peaches and pineapple in a large bowl. Combine remaining ingredients in a 1-quart microwave casserole. Microwave at HIGH for 3 to 5 minutes. Pour over fruit; cover and chill several hours or overnight. Remove cinnamon and cloves before serving. Nice for breakfast or as a dessert. Yield: 4 servings or more.
