Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar, butter and eggs and cream.
    Sift the flour, cream of tartar, salt and baking soda together.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Put into refrigerator to chill so it can be handled.
    Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
    Roll balls in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Press each cookie with a damp cloth.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
