Double Boiler Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
3 slices stale bread, buttered and cubed
3 eggs, beaten with pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. milk

Preparation

Place brown sugar on top of double boiler and the bread on top of it.
Mix eggs, salt, vanilla and milk.
Pour over bread.
Do not stir!
Steam over boiling water until knife comes out clean. Serve warm with ice cream.
