Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 (20 oz.) can sliced pineapple, drained
    red maraschino cherries, drained and halved
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix according to directions on package.
    Melt butter in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan.
    Arrange pineapple slices on brown sugar.
    Place cherry halves in center of pineapple slices.
    Pour cake batter over pineapple slices.
    Bake according to directions on cake package.
    Cool 5 minutes in pan.
    Remove from pan by turning onto platter.
