Saucepan Brownies - cooking recipe

1/3 c. shortening
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Melt shortening and chocolate in saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Beat until blended.
Combine flour, salt and soda; then beat into chocolate mixture until smooth. Stir in nuts.
Pour into greased 9-inch square pan.
Bake 30 minutes.
