Caramel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs, separated
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 heaping tbsp. flour
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Brown 1/2 cup sugar in a heavy skillet.
Beat egg yolks slightly then combine with one cup sugar, milk and flour.
Add the egg-milk mixture to the caramelized sugar very slowly.
Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
The mixture will thicken as it cooks.
Add butter and vanilla.
Pour into a 9 inch baked pie shell.
Top with meringue.
