Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    generous dash of pepper
    1 lb. lean beef, cut into 4 slices (bottom round)
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. diced celery
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 1/2 c. sliced onions
    1/2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and pepper; pound into meat.
    In Dutch oven or large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
    Add meat and brown on both sides, about 5 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients. Reduce heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally until beef is tender, about 1 hour.
