Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. margarine or butter
    4 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    6 Tbsp. warm water
    10 to 12 c. all-purpose flour
    chopped toasted pecans
Preparation
    Cream together first 4 ingredients.
    Add flour until dough doesn't stick to your hands and is easy to roll into 3/4-inch bars. Work in chopped pecans and shape into crescents.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 approximately 30 minutes, or until lightly golden.
    After cookies are cooled, roll in powdered sugar gently because they break easily.
