Portuguese Sausage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. spicy Italian sausage
    1 lb. mild Italian sausage
    1 c. sliced zucchini
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 c. pitted black olives
    3 large potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
    1 (32 to 38 oz.) large can whole peeled tomatoes, undrained
    5 c. water
    2 tsp. minced garlic
    1 tsp. anise seed
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Remove casings from sausages.
    Crumble meat into Dutch oven or heavy kettle and saute until browned.
    Drain off fat.
    Add all remaining ingredients to sausage.
    Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes or until all vegetables are tender.
    Serves 8.
