Ingredients

3 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
2/3 c. oil
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Beat flour, sugar, cocoa and water; mix well.
Add oil and beat well.
Add salt, vanilla and baking soda, dissolved in vinegar; mix well.
Pour half of batter into a well-greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
