Refrigerator Cole Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. shredded cabbage
cold water
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation

Cover cabbage with cold water.
Sprinkle salt on it.
Let set for 2 hours; drain.
Bring to boil 1/2 cup water, sugar, vinegar and mustard seed; cool thoroughly.
Put cabbage in glass jar. Pour in solution and cover lightly.
Do not seal.
Ready to use in 1 hour.
Keep in refrigerator.
Good for 6 months.
