Cocoa Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well blended. Blend dry ingredients; mix with creamed mixture and add nuts. Spread in a well-greased pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch).
Bake about 30 minutes.
Cool; cut into 2-inch squares.
Makes 16.
