Corned Beef And Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. corned beef
    cold water
    2 lb. white cabbage
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cover corned beef with water in a kettle.
    Heat to boiling. Skim off foam.
    Cover and simmer 2 hours, or until meat is tender. Wash cabbage; remove the heart.
    Cut into quarters; shred or leave in wedges, if preferred.
