Date Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. whole shelled pecans (approximately 4 c.)
    1 lb. whole dates, pitted
    1 c. (8 oz.) maraschino cherries, drained
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Add fruit and nuts.
    Beat eggs; add with vanilla.
    Pour into fruit mixture and mix with hands.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes (9 x 13-inch pan for double recipe).
    Use loaf pan for single recipe. Line pan with aluminum foil for easy removal.
