Opera Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. sweetened condensed milk
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. butter
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cook sugar,
    syrup and milk
    to
    soft
    ball stage.
    Add condensed
    milk,
    stirring
    slowly
    all
    the
    time.
    Continue cooking until mixture forms a soft ball.
    Add salt and butter; let cool 5 minutes.
    Stir and beat until thick.
    Add nutmeats. Spread in buttered pan and cut in one-inch squares.
