Chicken Chow Mein - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cooked chicken
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 c. sliced celery
    1 1/2 c. sliced onions
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 (5 oz.) can fried noodles
    1 (No. 2) can mixed Chinese vegetables
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    a few green onions, sliced lengthwise
Preparation
    Brown meat slightly in oil.
    Add celery, onions, pepper and broth.
    Cover and simmer until tender.
    Drain Chinese vegetables and mushrooms.
    Add to mixture.
    Bring to a boil.
    Mix cornstarch and soy sauce.
    Add to hot mixture.
    Stir until thickened.
    Spoon into deep dish and garnish with green onions.
    Serve over fried noodles.
    Also can be served over cooked rice or Chinese noodles.
