Festive Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. mixed dried fruit
    1 (16 oz.) can cherry pie filling
    1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
    1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 c. apple juice
Preparation
    Combine the first 3 ingredients in a 1 1/2-quart casserole; set aside.
    Combine brown sugar and remaining ingredients, stirring until sugar dissolves.
    Pour over fruit mixture and cover.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Serve warm.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
