Spaghetti With Red Clam Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 small onion, minced
1/3 c. olive oil
2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. dry red wine
1 tsp. basil leaves, crushed
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves, crushed
1/3 c. fresh parsley, chopped
1 (12 oz.) pkg. spaghetti, vermicelli or linguine, cooked and drained
grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Saute garlic and onion in olive oil until wilted.
Add juice from clams, tomato sauce, wine, basil and oregano.
Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
Add clams and cook 1 minute longer. Stir in parsley.
Toss sauce with hot pasta and serve with Parmesan cheese.
Yield:
4 to 6 servings.
