Italian Cream Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    5 egg yolks
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sugar
    1 can coconut
    1 c. pecans
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream together the margarine and shortening. Add sugar.
    Beat until smooth and add egg yolks. Combine flour and soda. Add the above to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in vanilla. Beat stiffly and fold egg whites, coconut and nuts into mixture.
    Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
