Roode Kaol(Red Cabbage; From Gramma Buma'S Holland Cookbook) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium size cabbage
    4 whole cloves
    4 whole peppercorns
    4 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Chop cabbage very fine.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Add just enough water to prevent sticking, about 1/2 cup.
    Cook until the water is all gone, about one-half hour.
    Remove cloves and peppercorns.
    Add butter and serve.
