English Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour (rounded)
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 oz. butter
pinch salt
1 or 2 eggs (or 1 egg plus a little milk to mix to a soft to medium dough)
light or dark raisins
Preparation

Mix like you would for biscuits.
Add butter to flour which has been sifted with baking powder and salt.
Cut in butter until it looks like biscuits.
Add eggs or egg and milk.
Stir until it goes together and leaves sides of bowl.
Roll out on floured board into a circle; cut into wedges (fairly thick wedges).
Bake at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 until just done.
