California Quiche - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 deep dish 9-inch pie shells
    6 eggs, lightly beaten with 1 3/4 c. half and half
    salt
    pepper
    nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. onion, diced
    1 1/2 c. mushrooms, sliced
    1 1/2 c. Jarlsberg cheese (Swiss), shredded
Preparation
    Saute onions and mushrooms.
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Bake shell for 4 minutes.
    Spread onions and mushrooms over crust, then cover it with cheese.
    Pour in egg mixture.
    Bake pie for 12 minutes. Reduce oven heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for another 15 minutes.
    Turn the oven off and let it sit in the oven for 10 minutes and then on the counter for 10 minutes.
