Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
1 Tbsp. vanilla
5 eggs
2 c. pecans
1 lb. orange slice candy
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
1 (4 oz.) can shredded coconut
4 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together and bake in a tube pan for 2 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0. Remove from oven; leave in pan. Mix 1/2 cup fresh orange juice and 1 cup confectioners sugar and pour over cake while it is hot. Cool on rack and wrap in foil. Put in the refrigerator for a day.
