Sweet Potato Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

2 c. cooked mashed sweet potatoes
7 Tbsp. melted butter, divided
1/2 c. heavy cream
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice mix
2 Tbsp. brandy or 1/2 tsp. brandy extract
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 c. pecan halves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
In food processor or blender, puree sweet potatoes with 3 tablespoons melted butter until smooth.
Add cream, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice and brandy.
Process until mixture is well combined.
Spoon evenly into unbaked pie crust.
Bake 20 minutes until filling is almost set.
