Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. rolled oats
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over rolled oats.
    Let stand 20 minutes. Mix together sugars, shortening and eggs.
    Sift flour, cinnamon and baking soda.
    Mix alternately with rolled oats and add to mixture.
    Bake in 9 x 12-inch greased and floured pan at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
