Paprika Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small yellow onion
    8 oz. mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. butter
    12 oz. large uncooked shelled shrimp
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. paprika
    3/4 c. dry white wine
    3/4 c. half and half
    1/2 c. sour cream
    4 to 6 drops hot red pepper sauce
    salt to taste
    parsley sprigs (optional)
    cooked long grain white rice (optional)
Preparation
    Chop onion and slice mushrooms.
    In a large skillet, melt butter over moderately high heat.
    Add shrimp and saute until they turn pink, about 2 minutes.
    Transfer the shrimp to a bowl and set it aside.
