Old-Time Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco or butter
    3 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour (self-rising)
    vanilla (if desired)
Preparation
    Make a stiff dough and work in flour until it is the right consistency to roll.
    Roll thin and cut.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 or 350\u00b0 until done.
