Snicker Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German Chocolate Cake Mix
    1 14 oz. pkg kraft caramels
    1 stick margarine (1/2 cup)
    1/3 c milk
    1 cup chocolate chips
    3/4 c walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Prepare cake according to package. Pour 1/2 batter into greased, floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake 15 min at 350 degrees. Melt caramels with milk and margarine over low heat. Pour over 1/2 baked layer. Top with chips and nuts and remaining batter. Bake 20 - 25 min. at 350 degrees
