Stewed Shrimp A La Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh shrimp
    1 large onion, minced
    1 tsp. flour
    4 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 bay leaf
    1 can tomatoes or 2 c.
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. parsley, finely chopped
    1 clove garlic, finely minced
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    slice of lemon
    dash of cayenne
Preparation
    Remove shells, wash shrimp thoroughly and drain.
    Brown flour in hot
    fat.
    Add onion, then shrimp, cooking until pink and slightly
    brown and stirring constantly.
    Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients and
    bring to a boil.
    Cover, lower heat and simmer for\t20 minutes.
    Serve with cooked rice.
    Serves 4 to 6.
