Ingredients

3 (No. 303) cans sliced beets (save 1 1/2 c. liquid)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
24 whole cloves
3 Tbsp. ketchup
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
Preparation

Add beets, 1 1/2 cups liquid beet juice and all remaining ingredients.
Cook over medium heat in saucepan until thickened. Cool.
Refrigerate.
