Baked Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and egg until fluffy.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
    Stir in nuts.
    Drop by tablespoon into well-greased small size muffin pans.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Shake in bag with confectioners sugar or sugar or a mixture of cinnamon and sugar until coated.
