Pecan Raisin Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. plain flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. raisins, cooked and chopped
3/4 c. shortening or butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 1/3 c. milk (if using butter or margarine) or 1 1/2 c. milk with 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla (if using shortening)
Preparation

Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
Cream shortening, add sugar and egg; one at a time; beat well after each.
Stir in nuts and raisins; add flour mixture with milk.
Beat until smooth. Add vanilla.
Bake in two pans at 375\u00b0 until done or for some 35 to 40 minutes.
Frost with 7 Minute Icing.
