Holiday Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. milk (1 qt.)
    1 c. bourbon or brandy (optional)
    nutmeg
Preparation
    In a large mixer bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and light. Gradually beat in Eagle Brand milk, salt, vanilla and milk. In a small bowl, beat egg whites to soft peaks.
    Gently fold into milk mixture.
    If desired, stir in bourbon or brandy. Chill.
    Pour into chilled punch bowl or serving cups. Garnish with nutmeg. Chill any leftovers.
