Rio Grande Valley Grapefruit And Avocado Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 avocado (ripe) for each person
    lime juice
    1/2 red seedless grapefruit, peeled and sectioned, for each person
    garlic powder or garlic salt
    lettuce leaves
    clear French dressing (optional)
Preparation
    Peel; seed avocados; cut each half into 3 or 4 thick vertical slices.
    Bathe all in lime juice.
    With your very sharpest knife, peel whole grapefruit thickly enough to cut off all white \"rag.\" Then cut toward core along segment line; nice sections will fall out.
    Sprinkle lightly with garlic powder or garlic salt.
    On lettuce leaf put together alternating sections to form a rounded mound, red and green.
    Serve with dressing, if desired.
