Cornbread Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. oil or bacon drippings
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Beat egg and milk; add to dry ingredients.
    Blend oil or bacon drippings into this and pour into greased muffin pans.
    Fill the muffin cups half full.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges and tops are brown.
