Granny'S Tomato Bisque - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    3 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1 qt. tomato juice
    1 pt. milk
    1 scant tsp. soda
    water
Preparation
    In a saucepan or Dutch oven melt butter.
    Stir in flour and cook until thick.
    Meanwhile, heat tomato juice and milk in separate pans.
    When all is hot, stir tomatoes into butter/flour mixture and add soda mixed with a bit of water.
    Then add hot milk last.
