Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. margarine or butter
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add milk and extract and blend.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each egg.
    Beat entire mixture well before pouring into greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 25 to 30 minutes.
