Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    4 c. Granny Smith apples, chopped (peeling optional)
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 c. dry roasted peanuts, chopped
Preparation
    In small saucepan, combine pineapple with juice, sugar, cider vinegar, flour and egg.
    Stir over medium flame until thickened. Refrigerate until cooled.
