Soft Pretzels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 egg
3 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Pour warm water in mixing bowl and add yeast. Stir until dissolved. Add sugar, salt, margarine, egg and 3 cups of flour. Mix well and add remaining 1/4 cup flour to make dough stiff and smooth. Knead dough for 8 minutes on a floured surface. Wrap dough in wax paper and store in refrigerator for 2 to 24 hours. When ready to bake, cut dough into pieces. Roll and shape pretzels. Place on a greased baking sheet. Brush each pretzel with egg yolk and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
