Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/4 c. raisins
    1/2 stick oleo or butter
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 1/3 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook on top of stove.
    Use deep skillet.
    Use fresh sweet potatoes, sliced longways several times.
    Put in skillet; add just enough water to cover.
    Add salt, sugar, raisins and oleo or butter.
    Cook until done.
    Add cornstarch mixed with water.
    Add vanilla.
    Stir with fork lightly.
    Let cook a minute.
    You can add juice of an orange.
