Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oatmeal
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda

Preparation

Beat together first six ingredients until creamy.
Add remaining ingredients.
Mix well.
Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
Yields 5 dozen.
