Deer Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. deer (ours has been soaked in water to take out the wild taste), cut in bite size pieces
    1 (1 lb.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 lb. potatoes, cut bite size
    1/2 lb. carrots, cut in rounds
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 large onion
Preparation
    Brown deer pieces in 1 tablespoon oil until no longer pink. Cover the meat with water and boil until tender (about 1 hour). Add potatoes, carrots, mixed vegetables and onion; cook until tender.
    Add tomato sauce; cook 10 more minutes.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
