Candied Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 to 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
    1 c. plain peanuts (1/2 c. mixed with Cool Whip and 1/2 c. for garnish)
    1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Over medium heat, stir crushed pineapple with juice, egg, flour, apple cider vinegar and sugar until thick.
    Refrigerate until cool.
    Peel and dice apples, then mix with pineapple mixture, 1/2 cup peanuts and Cool Whip.
    Mix well and spread in a 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup peanuts on top.
    Refrigerate. Serve on lettuce leaves.
