Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium onions, sliced thin
    1 lb. steak, cut into 1/4-inch strips
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/4 c. oil
    1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
    3 very ripe, large tomatoes
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
    Fry onions
    in\toil
    until golden brown.
    Add mushrooms and cook for
    5 minutes.
    Remove mixture to small bowl.
    Brown meat in a
    skillet.
    (We use cooked roast beef.) Peel and chop tomatoes. Sprinkle
    flour
    over
    browned
    meat and stir well. Add
    tomatoes and
    their
    juice.
    Add
    salt,\tpepper\tand Worcestershire sauce.
    Cover skillet, turn to low heat and let mixture
    cook
    for 1\thour, stirring occasionally.
    (If using previously
    cooked beef, lower this cooking time to 1/2 hour.) Add onion and mushroom mixture and sour cream to meat mixture. Stir well
    and
    cook
    on low temperature, covered, for 30 minutes.
    This is great served with noodles or baked potatoes.
