Ingredients

1 qt. milk
1/2 c. regular rice (not Minute rice)
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Heat milk and rice in heavy saucepan at about medium-high until heated through.
Lower heat to simmer and cook until thickens.
This should take over an hour.
Stir occasionally from the bottom.
Remove from heat and add sugar and vanilla.
Serve with cinnamon, if desired.
