Steak And Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 cup sliced onion
    1 1/2 lb. cube steak
    1/4 cup flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 cups buttermilk
    1 (2 oz.) can mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    4 cups sliced potatoes
Preparation
    In a large frying pan, melt butter.
    Cook onion until tender. Remove.
    Brown meat; remove.
    To drippings in frying pan, add flour, salt, and pepper.
    Remove from heat.
    Gradually stir in buttermilk.
    Cook slowly until thickened.
    Stir constantly.
    Cook 2 minutes more.
    Add mushrooms and parsley.
    In a butter casserole dish, layer potatoes then onion and steaks.
    Pour sauce over all. Cover with aluminum foil.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
    Serves 6.
