Cheesy Baked Onions - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large onion
2 Tbsp. margarine
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2/3 c. cheddar cheese
Preparation

Slice onion thin and separate into rings and put in greased 1-quart baking dish.
Set aside.
In small saucepan over low heat, melt butter; stir in flour and salt until smooth.
Gradually add milk; bring to a boil over medium heat.
Cook and stir for two minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in cheese until melted.
Pour over onion rings.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until onion is tender and cheese melts and browns.
Yield: 4 servings. (Can be halved.)
